Common questions
How do I delete my account?
On the web, sign in, open the account menu (your avatar, top right), choose Manage account, then delete your account. In the app, open the More tab and tap Delete account. Deleting your account permanently deletes the lists you own, including their reservations, and their edit and share links stop working. Dibs you called and group gifts you chipped in on or organised on other people’s lists stay, with the name and email you gave, but no longer linked to your account. This cannot be undone.
How do I delete a list?
On the web, open your list, choose the three-dot List actions menu, then Edit details, then Delete this list. In the app, open the list’s menu (from My lists or from the list itself) and choose Delete this list. Deleting a list removes every gift, reservation and group gift on it, and guests with the link can no longer open it. This cannot be undone.
How does sharing a list work?
Every list has a public share link. Use the Share button on your list to send it. Anyone with the link can see your list and, on the web, reserve a gift (“call dibs”) without an account, but they cannot edit anything. Your private edit link is separate, so keep it to yourself.
Can I see who reserved what on my own list?
Not until after the event. To keep gifts a surprise, reservations are hidden from the list owner, even if you open your own share link. Once the event date has passed, a thank-you list unlocks showing who reserved what. If your list has no date, you can mark the event as passed yourself to unlock it.
How do I get the app and the browser extension?
The Call Dibs browser extension, for adding gifts from any shop as you browse, is available from the Chrome Web Store. The Call Dibs app is available for iPhone and Android, from the App Store and Google Play. The app needs a free account; the website works without one.
