Call Dibs

for the office, the family, the group chat

Draw names.
Share wishlists.
Keep the secret.

Send one link, draw when everyone's in, and every Santa gets their person's wishlist. Nobody sees who has whom, not even you.

go on,tap the envelope to see who you've got.

How it works

Set it up in a couple of minutes. Everyone else just taps a link.

  1. Send one link

Drop it in the group chat or the team channel. People join with their name, no account and no app.

    no account, no app
  2. Draw names

Keep couples apart if you like, then draw. Everyone gets their match in a sealed link, and you see who has looked, nothing more.

Tom and Becky never draw each other
even you can't see who has whom
  3. Wishlists do the rest

Everyone gets a wishlist to fill from any shop. Your Santa buys from yours, so nobody ends up with another candle.

Nobody sees the whole picture

Not even the organiser. Each person's page only gets what they need, so there's nothing to peek at. Here's Sarah's merino socks from all three sides.

    Santa's copy

You know you're buying for Sarah, and what's on her list. You don't know who's buying for you.

Sarah knows what's on her own wishlist. She doesn't know who her Santa is, or what's already bought.

  • The organiser

The organiser knows who's joined and who has opened their match. They don't see any of the pairs, or what anyone's buying.

    never sees who has whom

And afterwards? If the organiser turns on reveal, Sarah's thank-you list names her Santa once the day has passed. Otherwise it stays a secret for good.

Questions, answered

Does everyone need an account?
Only the organiser, and it's free. Everyone else joins from the link you send with just their name. No account, no app, no password.
Can the organiser see who has who?
No. The pairs never leave the server, so the organiser's page can't show them. It shows who has opened their match, which is all you need to chase the stragglers.
How do people find out who they've got?
On their own page. Everyone who gave an email gets one when the names are drawn, linking to the page where their match and that person's wishlist are waiting. The email itself never names anyone.
Can I stop couples drawing each other?
Yes. Before the draw, pick any pairs who shouldn't get each other and the draw works round them.
What if someone drops out after the draw?
Nothing breaks. Whoever was buying for them takes over their match, and only the people whose match changed get an email. Nobody, you included, learns who used to have whom.
Someone joined late. Do we have to start again?
No. Invite them, then bring them in with a redraw. Anyone whose match changes is emailed their new link.
Do we find out who our Santa was?
Only if the organiser wants you to. Turn on reveal before the draw, and once the exchange date has passed everyone's thank-you list shows who their Santa was. Leave it off and it stays a secret for good.
Is it really free?
Yes. Organising, joining, the draw and everyone's wishlist are all free.
